This guide walks you through the initial configuration of B2BKing after installation. By the end, you'll have a fully working B2B (or B2B + B2C) store with user groups, pricing, registration, and product visibility configured.
Already installed and activated? Great, start with Step 1 below. If not, see the Quick Start Guide first. This guide covers the core setup. For advanced configuration of any feature mentioned here, search the Documentation page for a dedicated article.

Go to B2BKing → Settings → Main Settings and select one of two modes:
The key difference: in Hybrid mode, B2C customers won't see B2B-specific features like the Bulk Order Form or Conversations in their My Account panel. B2B users see everything.
In the same panel (B2BKing → Settings → Main Settings), choose which features appear in B2B users' My Account panel. There are five configurable features. Enable only the ones relevant to your store.
Not using quotes? Skip to Step 4.
Go to B2BKing → Settings → Quotes & Offers and choose which users can request a custom quote from the cart:
This controls the "Request a Quote" button that appears on the cart page:
Go to B2BKing → Settings → Guest Access Restriction and choose how logged-out visitors experience your store.
The four options are:
Each option is explained in detail in the Guest Access Restriction article.
Need more granular control? For example, hiding prices only for a specific product category, or enabling quote requests for logged-in users as well. This kind of configuration can be done through B2BKing → Dynamic Rules (through 'Hidden price' or 'Quote' rules).
This is a foundational step. Most of B2BKing's features depend on groups. A user's group determines their pricing, tax exemption status, available payment methods, and more.
Create your groups:
You can now assign users to groups on each user's profile page.
You can also assign users in bulk by going to B2BKing > Tools > Bulk Editor > Set customer group for all users.
You can also assign users to groups programmatically if you have a large number of users.
Note: Each user can belong to only one group. This is by design, since many group-level settings are binary (e.g., a payment method is either visible or hidden), and belonging to multiple groups would create conflicts.
Product visibility lets you hide specific products or categories from certain users or groups. For example, you might want wholesale-only items visible only to your "Distributors" group.
Don't need this? Leave the default setting ("All Products Visible") and skip to Step 7.
To enable visibility controls:
6.1) Set it to "Control Visibility." This enables the visibility functionality.
6.2) For each category, you can go to the category page and control visibility by group or by user.
6.3) For each product, you can either follow the category visibility settings or set visibility manually. If you set it manually per product, this overrides the category settings. To do this, go to the product page in the backend, scroll to the bottom, and choose manual visibility in the B2BKing dropdown:
Product-level settings always override category-level settings when set to manual.
To set up registration, there are two main paths you can take:
Option A: Use the standard registration on the My Account page.
To do this, simply keep this switch enabled in B2BKing > Settings > Registration.
Option B: Separate B2B and B2C registration (click for the detailed article).
Here is a short explanation of how registration settings work:
The simplest approach is group-based pricing. Each group gets its own pricing section on every product's edit page. Just enter the wholesale price for each group.
Additional pricing options on the product edit page:

Have a large catalog? Use B2BKing's built-in price import/export tool to set prices in bulk via spreadsheet instead of editing products one by one.
If your store isn't in English, see the translation article for instructions on translating the plugin.
One additional setting: go to B2BKing → Settings → Language and set the "Purchase Lists Language." This setting is separate because the Purchase Lists feature can't be translated through the standard translation mechanism.
